Hi, I’m Michelle,

I’ve been teaching for nearly 6 years and I have taught English in Thailand, South Africa, Spain and the UK. I have taught students from children to adults (some adults working in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid) and I have helped students pass their Cambridge KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE examinations. I also have a BSc in Forensic and Biomedical Science.

I love teaching English and my own personal experience of living and learning a new language in another country means that I understand the difficulties that students face when they are away from home and studying abroad.

My hobbies include spending time with my family, learning more new languages and Salsa dancing. SNT is a wonderful, fun and vibrant school. I love it and I’m sure you will too!

Hi, I’m Keith.

I love my job teaching English to people from so many different countries and such a wide age range. It’s a pleasure to get to know them as they progress with their studies and to see how much they have improved at the end of their stay.

I have been teaching English in Bournemouth for 8 years a various schools including Cavendish, ETC, and Bournemouth Academy. Before this, I was a teacher of French which I taught to English schoolchildren in a state comprehensive school in London. I left this job to pursue a career in TEFL in France where I taught both in language schools and in further education colleges.

I have a degree in French and European Literature and a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) in Modern Languages.

I grew up in Salisbury, an old English market-town not far from Bournemouth, but have been resident here since 2003.

SNT is a wonderful school to teach and the town also has many attractions to offer our students.

Marta has been an English teacher for 17 years and joined SNT in 2011. She successfully completed her Diploma in teaching English as a foreign Language to Adults in 2008 and has worked at Berlitz, Eurocentres, Master Centre d’Estudis and IKL Communication Training in Spain as well as Britannia International English in Brazil. Marta’s background gives her the ideal knowledge to cater for overcoming our student’s difficulties when learning English.

Caroline has been an English teacher for 11 years and started her teaching career in London at Enfield College. She then taught at Westminster Kingsway College before moving to Spain where she taught at Devon WWW and AQ Academia. She then came to Bournemouth and has worked at Bournemouth and Poole College, ETC Bournemouth, King's College and Richard Language College. Caroline holds a degree in Natural Sciences and has recently successfully completed her Masters in Applied Linguistics.

Hi, I’m Philip,

I’ve always been interested in languages. I studied German at school and Modern Languages at university. I’ve been a student at language schools in German, Austria, Russia and Ukraine, so I know just what it’s like to be in the shoes of a student abroad and I try to prepare varied and dynamic lessons to keep my students on their toes!

Before coming to SNT I taught English at a University in Kazakhstan and Russian at the University of Toronto in Canada, where I completed my Masters in Slavic Languages and Literature (I love all things Russian!). I’ve also taught at BEET Language Centre in Bournemouth.

In my free time I like reading, playing badminton, learning languages and volunteering with ‘Friends International’, an organisation which organises international coffee bars and offers pastoral care to international students.

I know that all the teachers here would love to see you at SNT!

Anna has been a qualified English teacher for 9 years and joined SNT recently in 2012. Anna holds a Certificate in Education. She has worked at BBSI in Bournemouth and has experience in being an examiner for the British Council for Cambridge ESOL examinations as well as for EDEXCEL examinations in Greece. Anna has also worked at St. Lawrence College in Athens, Greece.

Charlotte became a qualified English teacher 15 years ago and has been teaching at Kaplan International College in Bournemouth as well as TES in Italy. She holds a degree in English and American Studies and recently completed Module one and two of the Diploma in teaching English as a foreign language. In addition, Charlotte has a Masters in Creative Writing and a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in Education. This extensive educational background puts Charlotte into the perfect position in helping our students on their learning journey at SNT.

Lucy has been a qualified English teacher for 6 years and has worked at SNT since 2010. Her experience ranges to Kindergarten work in Thailand (Hana International Kindergarten) as well as teaching in Thailand (Language Corner). She holds a degree in Health and Social Care Informatics. Lucy has worked at Southbourne School of English before coming to SNT.

Lisa has been qualified as an English teacher for 1.5 years. She has worked at SNT since 2012. Lisa holds a degree in broadcasting and has gained her teaching experience at Charminster School of English in Bournemouth as well as Bournemouth School of English. Lisa understands exactly the difficulties that students have when being away from home and caters for overcoming those in her classes.

Dorothea has been an English teacher for 8 years and has recently successfully completed Module one and two of the Diploma in teaching English as a foreign language to adults. She gained her teaching experience from various schools in Bournemouth and has taught at BBSI, MLS, Kaplan International College, United World, Richard Language College, Bournemouth Academy and Cavendish School of English. She holds a degree in International Hospitality Management and her Masters is in International Tourism Management. She then proceeded to complete a PhD in Consumer Relationships (Marketing). Dorothea has worked at SNT since 2010.

Hi, I'm Diana.

Diana has been an English teacher for 3 years and has worked at SNT since 2011. Diana has a degree in Music and has worked at ETC in Bournemouth as well as Westbourne Academy. Diana’s experience in dealing with International students means that she can focus exactly on what our students need to achieve their individual goals.

Hi, I'm Jeff.

Jeff has been a teacher of English as a foreign language for 6 years and has been working at SNT since 2006. He holds a degree in Oriental and African Studies and has worked at Southbourne School of English in Bournemouth as well as ETC in Bournemouth before he started at SNT. His experience has given him excellent knowledge in maximising our student's abilities in class.

Hi, I'm Matt.

Matt has been an English teacher for 6 years and has been at SNT since 2010. Matt has a degree in Spanish and Italian and this gives him an excellent insight to what difficulties our students face when learning English. He has worked at Anglo Continental in Bournemouth and also at British Institutes in Italy and Praxis Laboratorio in Colombia.

Hi, I'm Julia.

Teaching English is my passion; the language is fascinating, the multicultural classroom is stimulating, and I get immense satisfaction from seeing students improve their skills and achieve their goals.

Having taught in America and the UK, I have helped students pass their FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL examination. As well as being a fully qualified TEFL teacher, I also have a Post Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree in Education (Applied Linguistics).

I was born in Poole and my hobbies include spending time with my family, walking in the beautiful Dorset countryside, fossil hunting along the nearby World Heritage Jurassic coastline, reading and yoga.
