General Conditions for Accommodation
1. Minimum stay 2 weeks
2. Valid only for the person and dates specified
3. No more than 2 students will be accommodated in the same bedroom.
4. Non-refundable if the student arrives late or leaves early, not reduced for accommodation for part of a week.
5. Students with the same first language will not be lodged in the same home at the same time (unless written consent of the student or their agents on behalf of their parents or legal guardians is obtained in advance or arrival)
6. Homestay accommodation booking subject to term breaks and holiday taken. Accommodation booked for 4 weeks or less is non-refundable. Cancellation of accommodation of 5 weeks or more is subject to a £100 non-refundable fee. One week notice required for cancellations.
7. Students under 18 must book accommodation with a homestay providers. For more details, please check below.
8. Please note: Student requests regarding accommodation are met when possible. If a student has not specified his/her requests and wishes to change accommodation on arrival there will be a new charge of £55 accommodation booking fee.
Reasons to choose homestay
1. Homestay accommodation is normally in single or twin rooms (two students in a larger room)
2. Our homestay providers' accommodation is normally 25/30 minutes on the bus from SNT International College in quieter areas of Bournemouth.
3. All our homestay providers are visited personally by our Accommodation Officer to ensure high standards.
4. You will have your own room or share with another student and use of all essential facilities, including the kitchen and bathroom.
5. You can practise English Language outside school hours, it will help you to improve your language skills.
6. You can learn more about Britain and its culture.
7. IMPORTANT SNT DISCLAIMER: Any further arrangement of accommodation agreed between the student and homestay privately cannot be monitored by SNT International College and we cannot take any responsibility for any accommodation not arranged by the College.
Special care provided for Juniors
1. SNT provides a caring, secure environment for Junior Students with CRB checked teachers in the classrooms.
2. For Junior Students extra care is provided, including an extended induction with our Welfare Officer, three meals per day provided (including packed lunch) and students are normally placed in CRB checked homestay providers within three miles (five kilometers) of the school.
3. Students under 18 must book accommodation with a homestay provider in advance for the whole period of study, unless the student will turn 18 in the UK. In this case, the student will be required to have accommodation booked until they turn 18.
4. Airport transfers and travel insurance are also compulsory for students under 18 until their 18th birthday.
